FEMA released the FY2026 NSGP NOFO on June 24, 2026 — $300 million nationwide. The federal window is about 30 days; each State Administrative Agency sets its own (often shorter) subapplicant deadline.

FY2025 NSGP subaward letters are actively being finalized and will be issued soon. The 120-day DHS government shutdown (resolved April 2026) caused major delays in award processing. Organizations that applied should watch for their award determination letter from their State Administrative Agency (SAA).
Utah DEM — April 30, 2026
The DHS government shutdown has ended and FEMA SAA officers have returned to active duty. Award processing for FY2025 applications is actively resuming across all states.
